Our Story
Franklin Phillips got his start in HVAC in 2003, working alongside a family member and changing out equipment in the Texas heat. Those early days taught him the value of hard work, doing the job right the first time, and treating every customer’s home like his own.
In 2010 he enrolled in college to study HVAC and build on that hands-on experience with formal training. While still in school, he joined a local HVAC company and quickly worked his way up. For nearly 10 years he led its operations, managing crews, solving tough problems and learning what it takes to deliver dependable service from the first call to the final startup.
In 2020 Franklin decided to start his own company. He and his wife spent time thinking about what the business should stand for. Because they work on today’s most advanced, high-efficiency systems, one word kept coming to mind: Modern. That’s how Modern HVAC was born.
For us, this isn’t just a job. It’s a passion. Franklin still loves every part of the work, from designing a system for a new build to bringing a family’s home back to comfort. Every job is planned carefully, installed with care and checked before we leave, because our name is on it.
Today Modern HVAC proudly serves homeowners, builders and businesses across DFW. We’re a family-owned company that brings more than 20 years of experience, honest advice and craftsmanship to every home we work on.
